The OttoE PoE 08 GE is a cost-effective, industrial-grade unmanaged PoE switch engineered for reliable operation in harsh environments. Supporting IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ (up to 90W per port) and 6kV surge protection, it powers high-consumption devices such as PTZ cameras, wireless access points, and industrial IoT gateways. The switch offers a wide operating temperature range (-10°C to 60°C, or -40°C to 75°C for H models) and is housed in a rugged metal enclosure for DIN-rail mounting. These features make it ideal for mission-critical applications where durability and high power delivery are essential.

 

Designed for plug-and-play simplicity, OttoE PoE 08 GE features auto-negotiation, auto MDI/MDIX, and QoS traffic prioritization to ensure smooth data transmission. Its per-port PoE watchdog function, configurable via DIP switch, automatically recovers unresponsive PDs to maintain network uptime. This industrial PoE switch is perfectly suited for deployments in smart transportation, intelligent intersections, smart grid infrastructure, industrial automation, outdoor surveillance, and renewable energy systems where consistent performance and easy integration are key.

什麼是 PoE Watchdog?

當攝影機、感測器或無線 AP 因軟體當機而不回應時,OttoE 內建的 PoE Watchdog 會監測該埠的封包活動;若偵測為「無活動」,即自動關閉並恢復該埠供電,等同遠端重新插電,減少到場維護。

PoE Watchdog 提要

  • 自動復原:每 30 秒檢測一次封包活動,無回應即自動斷電再供電。
  • 各埠獨立:Per-port 判斷與復位,不影響其他 PoE 埠。
  • 延遲啟動:DIP #9(EXT)可選 5 或 10 分鐘,避免冷開機誤判。
  • 免 IP 設定:非網管即可使用,無需 IP、Ping 或 SNMP。

適用情境

  • 路口/偏遠監控:人力不易即時到場時,自動復原可降低停機時間。
  • 零售數位看板:避免黑屏影響服務或廣告播放。
  • 工業 IoT:無人化場域或夜間維運的關鍵備援機制。

設定重點

  • 對應 Port 1–8 的 Watchdog 開/關。
  • DIP #9(EXT):OFF=10 分鐘/ON=5 分鐘延遲啟動。
  • 變更需重啟:切換 DIP 後需重新啟動交換器才會生效。

常見疑問(精簡)

  • 判斷頻率:每 30 秒為一個檢測週期;該週期未收到 PD 封包即觸發重供。
  • 會誤判嗎?對「低頻/僅取電」裝置,建議關閉該埠 Watchdog,或在裝置端啟用keep-alive 心跳(例如 NTP、MQTT)。
