How to make a root switch of STP/RSTP network manually?
Answer:
- Root switch is selected by Bridge Priority and MAC address
- STP/RSTP default Bridge Priority is 32768
- Choose a switch and manually change the Bridge Priority parameter to make its ID lowest than other switches
CLI command:
switch_a> enable
switch_a# configure terminal
switch_a(config)# bridge 1 priority 4096
