FAQ

How does Flow Control operate in EtherWAN Managed Switches?

Answer:

EtherWAN Managed Switches are compliant with the IEEE802.3x standard. Flow Control is a feature of IEEE802.3x to inhibit the transmission of incoming packets. If a buffer on a port runs out of space, the port transmits a special packet called a Pause Frame and requests remote ports to delay sending packets for a period of time.
