EtherWAN Unveils ED3601: Industrial VDSL2 Ethernet Extender for High-Speed Copper-Based Connectivity

New Taipei City, Taiwan — EtherWAN Systems has announced the launch of the ED3601, a high-performance industrial VDSL2 Ethernet extender designed to deliver fiber-optic-like speeds over existing copper infrastructure. With support for aggregated bandwidth up to 300Mbps (150Mbps downstream / 150Mbps upstream), the ED3601 offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for extending Ethernet connectivity in environments where fiber deployment is not feasible.

Housed in a rugged metal enclosure with DIN-Rail mounting, the ED3601 is built for hardened industrial environments, ensuring durability and ease of installation. It features one Gigabit Ethernet port and one VDSL2 port, both equipped with RJ45 connectors, making it ideal for retrofitting existing networks without the need for new cabling.

  • Gigabit Ethernet Extension over UTP: Supports CAT 5e/6/7 cables for high-speed data transmission over standard copper wiring.
  • Long-Distance Connectivity:Extends Ethernet networks up to 1.5 kilometers, ideal for factories, warehouses, and transportation systems.
  • 300Mbps High-Speed Performance: Enables fast and stable communication for bandwidth-intensive applications.
  • Flexible DIP Switch Configuration: Allows users to select between Master/Remote mode , Symmetric/Asymmetric transmission, G.INP/Interleave error correction, and adjust SNR margins for optimal performance.
